A Catalyst for Good

I believe Jesus came as a catalyst for good...bringing the Kingdom of Heaven to earth. Feeding the hungry, touching the untouchables, holding the broken, eating with the prostitutes and tax collectors, reconciling the outcasts back to community, and so on. And I believe He is calling us to be a catalyst for good in the here and now. So...

What are you doing to make the world around you a better place?

(Please share stories and examples)

So, I really don't have time to write a story right now.

But I can sum a lot up just in saying I'm a teacher. A teacher who cares a lot about her job and kids and the influence for good I have on them.

I wish I had a story. Almost everyday there are things I want to do, simple things, for other poeple just to show them someone cares.
But I never do.

There's really no excuse for it.
It's there in my heart, but I don't do anything about it.
Pretty Sad.

I just returned from an amazing ten days on mission in Edinburgh, Scotland. Not everyone's first thought of places to go on mission, but from my experience I must say that it is very much in need of Christians who are willing to come.

As beautiful as the scenery is, Edinburgh is a dark and lonely place. So many people move about the city in solitude just making it from one place to another. The sadness is evident on their faces. And throughout the city, the need for Christ is pressing. We worked mainly doing student outreach and some of these kids are the meanest and most cruel people you will ever meet in your life. But, as you take the time to love and serve and get to know all these people, they begin to open up and show you the desire that they really have for something else.

These people don't know giving without expecting something in return. They don't know loving unconditionally. And to be able to go and show these things through our God is such a blessing. I wish I had more time, but nonetheless I served as I could and I feel that I made an impact to serve people as Christ called me to.
